About the artist

Toochi

Adopted from Family Dog Rescue in San Francisco in 2019, Toochi arrived as an anxious and shy dog. After having fostered over 40 dogs, her owner, Kate Tova, was prepared to face any challenge. Toochi had endured abuse in her previous home and needed ample quiet time in a calm environment. With Kate’s patience, love, and dedication, Toochi discovered a special talent for painting, which helped her relax and be less fearful.

“Toochi” means “rainclouds”

Tova says: “Australian cattle dogs are typically very energetic but she prefers mental exercises and tricks to physical ones. She loves learning and she loves treats. It often shocks me how good she is and how expressive her brushstrokes are. She inspires me not to overthink things and live in the moment.”

She’s still a shy pup but she gets along with any creature or a human with treats. At home she lives with two cats - Bob & Stella. Bob is her favorite snuggle buddy.

Toochi is so patient. She’ll dress up in anything just to get the reward of the “rain of treats”.

She loves nature & smelling flowers.

Toochi loves you. Adopt.
